Voting is now complete for the World Hockey Association Hall of Fame.
In 2009 the WHA Advisory Board approved a ballot for the WHA Hall of Fame induction.
Rather than have a small panel of hockey establishment figures determine induction, we invited a wide variety
of authoritative sources to cast ballots. More than double the amount of ballots were cast for the WHA Hall of
Fame than other similar institutions. The voters included the WHA Hall Of Fame Board, invited hockey media
members, hockey historians – and former WHA players, coaches and management. The list of voters and
complete ballot results is included on this separate page HERE.
All WHA veterans were eligible for induction; no one was permitted to vote for himself. Ballots were cast in late
2009 and completed in 2010. Below you can view a photo gallery of the Honored Members. The complete list of
Honored Members and the specific category for their induction is below, to the left of the photo gallery.
The story and photo gallery of WHA HOF induction cermonies for Gordie, Mark & Marty Howe, Bobby Hull,
Anders Hedberg, Ulf Nilsson, Andre Lacroix, Howard Baldwin, Pat Stapleton, Joe Daley and more is HERE
With the thought that no single voting cycle can recognize all who are worthy of recognition,
an additional class of inductees was selected in 2012: Christian Bordeleau,
Tom Webster, Bill Friday (referee), Mike Gartner,
Rod Langway (details to the left, cards to
come soon below).
